The Technical Challenge
The project required a “Three-Way Sync”:
- Vendors needed to manage menus and track earnings.
- Customers needed a sleek mobile interface to order and track.
- Dispatch Riders needed real-time notifications and delivery routing.
The Greengate Solution
- The Backend (WordPress/PHP): We utilized WordPress not just for content, but as a robust Headless CMS. We developed custom PHP functions to handle a complex 25% commission structure, ensuring vendors automatically see their 75% payout in their dashboards.
- The Mobile App (React Native/Expo): Using Expo, we built a high-performance mobile app that consumes the WordPress REST API. This allows for real-time order status updates and a seamless checkout experience.
- Operational Logic: We implemented a “Brand-Prominence” model where vendors aren’t just listed—they are showcased, encouraging a partnership-driven ecosystem rather than a standard directory.
